چکیده

We present here an original route for the manufacturing of SiC ceramics based on 3D printing, polymer impregnation and pyrolysis chemical vapor deposition (CVD). The green porous elastomer structures were first prepared by fused modeling (FDM) 3D-printing with a composite polyvinyl alcohol/elastomer wire soaking in water, then impregnated allylhydridopolycarbosilane preceramic polymer. After crosslinking pyrolysis, polymer-derived reinforced CVD using CH3SiCl3/H2 as precursor. multiscale structure specimens was examined X-ray tomography scanning electron microscopy analyses. Their oxidation resistance also studied. pure dense CVD-SiC coating considerably improves resistance.

Graphene epitaxy by chemical vapor deposition on SiC.

We demonstrate the growth of high quality graphene layers by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) on insulating and conductive SiC substrates. This method provides key advantages over the well-developed epitaxial graphene growth by Si sublimation that has been known for decades. (1) CVD growth is much less sensitive to SiC surface defects resulting in high electron mobilities of ∼1800 cm(2)/(V s) an...

Chemical Vapor Deposition of Antimicrobial Polymer Coatings

There is large and growing interest in making a wide variety of materials and surfaces antimicrobial. Initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD), a solventless lowtemperature process, is used to form thin films of polymers on fragile substrates. To improve research efficiency, a new combinatorial iCVD system was fabricated and used to efficiently determine the deposition kinetics for two new po...

Polymer Nanocoatings by Initiated Chemical Vapor Deposition (iCVD)

Initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) is a novel process capable of producing a range of polymeric and multifunctional nanocoatings. The process utilizes hot filaments to drive gas phase chemistry which enables the deposition of true linear polymers rather than the highly crosslinked organic networks often associated with plasma enhanced CVD. Importantly, the object to be coated remains at...
